Frequently asked questions

What Ronoplex is, what it costs and how the shared world behaves.

Is Ronoplex free to play?
Yes. Ronoplex runs in the browser and is free to play. You can start immediately in guest mode with no account at all, and convert that session into a permanent account later without losing progress.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Ronoplex is a browser game rendered with Canvas 2D. There is no client to install, no plugin and no app store step — open the page and you are in the world.
Who do I fight in Ronoplex?
You share one persistent world and compete for space and resources, and combat plays out against NPC civilizations, barbarian camps and outposts scattered across the map.
Does my civilization keep running when I log off?
The world is persistent and server-authoritative, so it keeps existing and neighbouring NPC tribes keep developing while you are away. Your own orders are validated and resolved on the server, not in your browser.
How large is the map?
Effectively infinite. Terrain is generated deterministically from coordinates as players explore, so the map extends as far as anyone walks. Explored ground stays remembered under semi-transparent fog; live activity is only visible where you currently have vision.
Can I play Ronoplex on a phone?
Yes. The interface is mobile-first, with dense management panels designed for small screens, and the renderer targets mobile browsers.
Do I have to advance through the ages?
No. Age advancement is optional. There are ten ages from Stone Age to Future Age, each gated behind an XP threshold, and you can stay in an earlier age indefinitely if you prefer to build tall.
What happens to a guest civilization?
A guest civilization exists only for that browser session. If you close it without upgrading, the tribe is removed. Creating an account from inside the session keeps everything you have built, including your civilization name.
