Terms of Service

Ronoplex is in alpha. It is offered as-is, it will have bugs, it may go offline without notice, and features will change or be removed. We may need to reset the shared world or delete all civilizations between builds. Treat your progress as temporary until we announce otherwise. Nothing in the game is a purchase, an investment, or a promise of future availability.

You must be at least 13 years old to play. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only play with a parent or guardian's permission, and they accept these terms with you.

You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Do not share your account, sell it, or let anyone else use it. Tell us at Help@ronoplex.com if you think it has been accessed by someone else.

One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to gain an advantage in the shared world — extra spawns, extra land, resource funnelling between your own civilizations — is not allowed.

Guest play creates a session-only civilization with no email attached. When you sign out or the browser session ends, that civilization is permanently deleted from the world. This is intended behaviour, not a fault, and we cannot restore it. Convert the guest session into an account with "Save progress" if you want to keep it.

Your player and civilization names are public. Choose names that are not hateful, sexual, threatening, impersonating someone else, or advertising. We may rename or remove names that break this rule.

You also agree not to:

• use bots, macros, modified clients or automation to play for you;
• exploit bugs instead of reporting them, or duplicate resources through any defect;
• probe, scrape, overload or attack the servers, or attempt to reach data or accounts that are not yours;
• reverse engineer, copy or redistribute the game, its code, art or world data;
• harass other players, or use the game to distribute unlawful content.

Find a bug or an exploit? Report it to bugs@ronoplex.com. We would much rather hear about it from you than ban you over it.

We may suspend or delete an account, and remove its civilization from the world, if it breaks these terms or threatens the stability of the shared world. Where it is reasonable to do so we will explain why. You can stop playing and delete your account at any time by writing to Help@ronoplex.com.

Ronoplex — its code, art, sprites, audio, world design, systems and name — belongs to us. Playing the game gives you a personal, revocable, non-transferable permission to play it, and nothing more. All rights are reserved. Feedback and suggestions you send us may be used without obligation or payment.

The game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted, error-free or secure operation. You play at your own risk.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost progress, lost civilizations, world resets, downtime, data loss, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Ronoplex. Ronoplex is free to play; where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms as the game develops. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to play after a change means you accept it. If a change is significant we will try to flag it in-game.

These terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, and the courts of Costa Rica have jurisdiction over any dispute — without removing any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country of residence.
