How to play Ronoplex
Ronoplex is a persistent browser civilization MMO. Every player starts with a Stone Age tribe and a single hearth in the same infinite, procedurally generated world, and the simulation keeps running after you close the tab. The pressure comes from terrain, logistics and NPC civilizations.
Your first thirty minutes
1Scout the ground around your hearth
Your first scout reveals black fog permanently and gray fog while it stands there. Circle the hearth before committing workers: woodland, berry patches and stone deposits within a few tiles decide how fast the first hour goes.
2Send worker parties to the nearest nodes
Workers physically walk to a node, occupy it and haul back. Distance is real travel time, so a poorer node close to home usually beats a rich node fifteen tiles out.
3Raise housing before production
A Hut Shelter houses 5 and a Large Hut houses 12. Population is the cap on every profession, so housing is the cheapest way to raise output early.
4Split storage per resource
A Storage Pit adds 600 capacity to exactly one assigned resource. Anything gathered above the cap is wasted, so match pits to whatever your workers actually bring home.
5Research toward cultivation
Organised Gathering then Early Cultivation unlocks the Farm Plot, which turns fertile tiles into food that does not deplete. That is the moment a tribe stops being fragile.
6Wall the core, then expand
Palisade walls knit to their neighbours and a gate is the only way through a closed perimeter — for your units and for raiders. Once the core is safe, found a second city and repeat the loop.
The core loop
Explore to reveal tiles and find nodes. Gather with worker parties that physically travel. Build to raise housing, storage and production. Research to unlock the next tier. Expand with new cities, then decide whether to trade with the NPC tribes around you or take their ground. Every one of those actions is validated on the server, so what you see is the same world everyone else is standing in.
| Stage | What you spend | What you get |
